Wow!

Thanks for the complement Ernest! I saw your pics from the Exotic car festival the other day as well. Unbeleivable man. You guys and girls looked like you had alot of fun.

If anyone can see on the first pic you can see the red silicone hose. This is part of a new set that JAE now offers for all of the hoses. A much nicer replacement peice over the stock stuff. Not very cheap though I beleive it was around 345$ or maybe just alittle more for the entire set, but it should last quite abit longer.

Anways thanks again Ernest! Should be back on the road this week, we are waiting on a new tnesioner bearing from JAE to put the cam belt back on.

Here is one more pic of the car when it was working.

Bloody Mary!

That S4 looks great! Definitely the boss in your neighbourhood!

Got to disagree there Earnest, I think the engine I am rebuilding to S300 spec from a brand new S4 motor out of the crate with Lotus quality control tags on would be the winner of that cleanliness competition

Lotus V8 the windows are completely black. They are actually darker then legal tint, but I have always been a huge fan of black out cars with shiny rims. I had decided that if I got a black Esprit or VIper that this would be the way that I would build it.

I am glad you like it! If I decide to sell it I will give you a call!

Thanks again for the kind words!

Very nice....

What have you used to paint the cam covers etc in red and where did it come from?

Pat the engine peices are powder coated not painted.

Just a different process of coloring the parts. Powder coating is much more durable and much more heat resistant than the average paint. Also you can usually find it it just about any color and sometimes finish that you could possibly imagine.

We actually matched the Lotus orange, with the proper clinkle finish that the cars came with. I personally just always thought the black car should have come with a high gloss red.

My red was a Dupont coating called Red Barron Red. I also had them use a different base primer to ensure that there would be no bubbles in the top coat usually associated with powder coating.
