In need of 95 Esprit transaxle/parts

I am in need of a new or rebuilt transaxle for my 1995 Esprit S4S. The parts quote for it to be repaired seemed quite sensational. Are Renault tranny parts available? Are parts in the UK readily accesible? Price wise? Any ideas on either obtaining a new replacement or getting replacement parts at reasonable prices will be truly appreciated. Thanks.

Can the transmission be repaired internally or do you have case damage?

The Esprit box was fitted to Renaults 21, 25 & 30 and probably quite a few more.

Checkout the Renault 21 turbo web page as the box fitted to the 21 turbo was supposed to be the stongest & there's always a couple for sale in the spares for sale page. You could probably buy a whole car for the price of the Lotus parts
