It is in early March this year.

Lotus Esprit World will be there on Sunday (that will be just me then!). March 9th. Most of the Yahoo! group will be meeting up and then doing a short run and pub lunch. Everybody Welcome (Esprit lovers of course). See you there!

I'll be there if my engine's rebuilt in time. Just watched my baby get winched onto a trailer to get it's new head gasket etc. done.

Tickets are £6.50 and, yes, you can pay at the door.

See ya.

Iam trying to go but not sure yet. I haven't anyone who's interested in that sort of thing to go with. Bit of a shy, boring b*****d. That's why i've got a bright yellow car, to offset my boring personality!
The motor also needs a bit of work. Let you all know nearer the day.
Tried the Yahoo thing, couldn't get into it properly. Seemed a bit too clicky if you know what I mean.

Cheers,

Did I say £6.50? That's the price if you pre-book. Tickets are £7.50 on the day.

Superdave, are you in the Northwest? I am just south of Manchester (Between Stockport and Macclesfield) I am in the same situation, wife is'nt interested in going and unless you're into Lotus most people would be bored within the first hour, I was planning to go on the Saturday. It would be good to meet up with a fellow Esprit owner in the Northwest. You can e-mail me on theuptonsfamily@tiscali.co.uk

Cheers, Jez.

Jez

I've owned an Esprit for the last 11 years and I get bored at Donington within 60 seconds, never mind 60 minutes.

Adrian....Is that an indictment of your attention span, or how crap Donnington is?

I've been a few times and I have to admit that it is a bit like Groundhog Day.

The only attraction would be to meet up and put names to faces...

Is it that bad Adrian? What about for us first timers? Should it be an experience for us or are we still wasting our time?
Let me know.

Pat.. It's a load of shite I've never been so bored in my life. I know some people who go for 2 days, god knows what they find to do.

I've been twice. I only went the second time to make sure it was as poor as I remembered - It was !!

It's a manky old barn with a few Lotuses ( just like the one's you can see in the car park ) plus some junk stalls and stalls of general car stuff, i.e. the stuff you only ever see for sale at car shows.

Keep your £7.50 in your pocket is my advice.

Hi Dave ( you should be working )

I'd not bother going, I know you have just got your car and you're not been before, but it really is so boring. The other thing is the £7.50 to get in. I know we can all afford it but I felt like I'd been mugged when I came out 5 minutes later.

Well, it's an interesting indictment of Donnington, chaps. Having had my car for just over a year, I had been planning to do the rounds this year.

Just as well it's going to be at the garage for a couple of months since Donnington is obviously not so cool.

Is there anything on the Esprit calender worth attending?

Regards
Nicholas
