Id like to find a set of wheels that fit my US S4s (17's) I can search for the same as I have but It would be nice to know if 17's from any other production car fit on my car.

No.

You can find the same bolt pattern but won't have the correct backspacing and is noticeable to the trained eye.......

I have fitted porsche wheels on mine
lots of them for sale and good quality
but you need a spacer which converts you to 5 x 130
got it on my car
no problem

I was always told that the Esprit V8 (same as S4s) came without locking wheelnuts because the wheels were not a theft target as they did not fit any other car!

If that car in your profile is yours.....well..it's just gorgeous isn't it !!? I think (only my opinion, mind) that the wheels in the picture on your profile are possibly the most beautiful five spoke alloys ever to appear on a production car...Keep them !! The only problem is the corrosion. That said, you find a good wheel refurbisher and you will have no problems. I know a guy who had a blue S4s with these wheels and once a year he had the refurbed. Seriously, they NEVER looked anything but brand new. It wasn't expensive either. The problem is to do with needing a special tool to dismantle the wheels for cleaning (from the Judd racing team ??) We are near Liverpool so I think it would be a bit too far for you but I'll bet you will find someone near to you who will help.

Bang on cue, I have just examined the OZ Saturn ('98 MY standard fit on Esprit V8) wheels on an S-Class Mercedes. Don't know what the wheel size was bit the tyres were 235/45 ZR17. This of course doesn't mean anything other than that the owner has fitted a particular type of wheel to his car. The state of the tyres betrayed a less than cautious owner! Have you asked the factory ?
