Did a clear front indicator conversion today in my lunch hour. I've only did one side to see what it looks like before cutting up another indicator. I think it looks good but I near other peoples views before committing on the other side . At least if averyones says it looks crap, I can change back .

Very Unique!
I need to ask, "What make and model of driving/fog lights do you have?" I need to replace mine on my '89 non-SE and cannot find ones that will fit right.

Also, (I beg your pardon for unsolicited advice) Does your car car front start to lift off as you get up in speed?. Mine did, until I put the one inch lip spoiler on.

Are they 17 inch rims? I like the yellow calipers, too. did you use the plasticote or other high temp paint?

Believe it or not, the fogs are just cheap ones from a local shop £20/set. Lotus want £120/set I think. Iam going to put an SE front spoiler on I think in the future so I will have to buy different fogs. Didn't want to waste my money on Lotus ones.
I believe that the turbo fogs came from a Vauxhall Astra MK1 made in the UK. GM own Vauxhall so you might be able to get the part over in the US. Here some places do them for about £30/set.
My wheels unfortunately are only 16" rears and 15" fronts Compomotive one piece alloys that were on the car when I bought it. Painting them is short term solution only. Haven't experiemce the high maintainance costs yet, so holding back a bit on non essential expenses.
I used Halfords Caliper paint. At first I order Caliper spray but changed to brush on paint to get into all the nooks and crannies. Didn't check the colour before buying so I was very lucky when the colour match!
Haven't notice the front end lifting but Iam very interested in the front lip. Where did you get yours from and how much?

Cheers,

Dave Walters

Dave,
Like the clear look, want to do that myself, do you need a couple of spare sets to do both sides?

I've just posted Kato full details and pics to put on his web site www.lotusespritworld.co.uk It should be on there by next week though I know he's working on his headlights as we speak.
If you can't wait until then, send me an e-mail and I will forward details direct.
I'm made up with mine and it only cost around £35 total.

cheers,

Dave Walters

Dave looks real good, seems to be the look.
Mine have stone chips in them, so may do the upgrade soon when I get the chance.
