Judging by recent inquiries, there is some renewed interest for the Raid airbag steering wheel upgrade and custom adapter kits. So if you're tired of looking at the crappy GM Saturn airbag steering wheel then now is the time to do something about it!

The Raid steering wheels are manufactured by Atiwe and distributed through Raid which is their aftermarket company. In case you aren't familiar with Atiwe, they are an OEM manufacturer and their steering wheels are used on many high end cars including Aston-Martin and others.

The steering wheels will be purchased through TM Tuning of Berlin,
Germany and can be seen at www.tmtuning.com The hub adapters are being custom made by a local manufacturing company and will be purchased directly from me.

This is a two part deal with part 1 being, you purchasing the wheel directly from TM Tuning and they will ship direct to you.

Part 2 is purchasing the necessary hub adapter kit from me. The adapter kit will include everything necessary to install the wheel including the adapter, fasteners, wiring and airbag connector.

There are several wheel styles available with prices starting at $395 US plus shipping. The adapter kits are $195 including shipping in the US.

This is a great price and a chance to save several hundred dollars
on this package.

Please note that this will probably be the last group buy I do on these as I have a limited number of airbag connectors left and don't think I can get any more.

The install procedure can be seen here: www.lotusenthusiasts.org/Downloads

**The lead time on the adapters is approximately 6 weeks from now, possibly sooner but figure on 6 weeks.

If interested, email me off list with any questions and I will send you the pricing and ordering information.

Cheers,
Jim Knowles

Just FYI for people considering this:

I used one of Jim's adapters for the installation. Top notch work. After installing this wheel, I've never had any more issues with the famous "airbag light" problem. When the OEM wheel is installed, due to one of the seams in the wheel, dust and particles would get through to the airbag connections and cause the airbag light to come on. The only solution used to be to have the connections cleaned about once a year. I have had this wheel on since 2004 and no airbag light.

I hope Mike K. gets to look at this and that the new Esprit (or whatever E*****) won't have one of those ghastly four spoke abominations. This just shows that it can be done.
