I remember a post talking about replacement seats for the V8 in the style of the Sport 300 which were plastic buckets with a thin padded leather cover (a bit like the Elise as I recall). I seem to remember a price of £500 a seat. Does anybody know about this or where the seats can be obtained. Does anyone know of any other potential or appropriate seat upgrades or replacements for the Esprit?

Only whats been done here. I recall the original posts by these guys when they got their seats done. They were moulded off real SP300 seats makes them pretty special. Otherwise not sure who else does them sorry.

Speaking from experience, the seats that you are after are made by Sparco and the model is the Roadster 2.

The fit better than the factory seat, are alot more comfortable and I even have more leg room.

See the website www.sparcousa.com

Oh, and they're Less Than 1/2 The Price!!!!

I asked SJ to make a S300 seat with a Carbon Fibre back for rigidity and the finish.
It wasn't finished that brilliantly (odd bit of resin bubbling but was very rigid and under £200 untrimmed. I then sent it to the factory and they trimmed it for ... sit down now .... £376.00. So around £550 all in.
I now need to find or fabricate brackets to secure it to the car as all the ones advertised arent the 230mm required between bolt centres. I havent looked at adjustables yet, moving house kind of takes priority...
check it out

The Sport 300 seats are the same basic shell as the GT3 and S4s Sports seats. The only real difference is the Sport 300 has the seat belt holes. LEW currently has a spare set of GT3 seats which will be going on sale soon. Orange backs and in pretty good condition. Only issue is one of the bolts on the seat rail is broken (that goes through the floor). We just need to weld a new bolt back in and they'll be on the site for sale. Probably be about £400 for the pair.

If anyone's interested before they go on the site email admin@lotusespritworld.com
