GT3 Transmission tunnel

Can the coloured transmission tunnel fitted to the early (pre new interior) GT3's be retro fitted to earlier cars ie 1988 turbo?? Anyone done it. How difficult etc.

Probably not, well.. not without a lot of work anyway. The centre tunnel is narrower on later cars i think.

Oh, and if you have a "transmission" under there, the previous owner has fitted the engine backwards
