Where is the ground for the turn signal lights?

The turn signals for my 87 TE is very weak. I am suspecting a poor ground, but where should I look for it?

Generally on GRP-bodied cars, all the electrical equipment has earth wires included in the loom. These are then gathered together and bolted to the chassis at some convenient point. I don't know about '87 models but on my '83 there's a bolt through the boot floor at the left-hand side with a number of ring terminals which are the earth returns for most of the front-end electrics.

I'd guess you need to look for something similar (though perhaps a bit better hidden....)
