Just wanted to make you Esprit owners aware that there is a sportscar event in the Lake District on Sunday 13th August.
The event is open to all Supercars/GT cars/Sportscars only.
Web page for event details in below:

(may take a few seconds to load)
So if any of you are local(ish) to the area then feel free to come along.

apart from the V8s on a good day, can any esprit be considered a supercar? you'll get some sublime car photos though, with the cloud patterns over lakes district.
I can't beleive your'e asking this question? Of course any model of Esprit is a super car, where have you been?
admittedly, there is no official definition of the term "supercar". but we have to draw the line somewhere. otherwise, celicas and whatever else with similar taillamp lenses are gonna want to be included. then we've movied from supercar to toyote ugly

The Supercar thing is wacky. My Esprit was said not to be a Supercar because it didn't have a V8. My Corvette does have a V8 and despatches the quarter mile in 12 seconds but some say it's not a Supercar beacause it's mass produced. So that presumably means no P****e can be a Supercar either and leaves you with much more expensive stuff like Ferraris, Lamborghinis and upwards from there. But some people say they're Exotic cars which is a step up from Supercars.
I reckon that by any sensible definition Esprits and Vettes are both Supercars, even if they're not the most expensive in that category. i.e. they have excellent performance with attractive sports car styling.
On the other hand I would be happy to contend that no run of the mill saloon car with a big engine and some body styling can ever qualify for the category. So no M5, Evo or Lotus Carlton please.......
