V8 Ground clearance
Discussion
yes, many times.
train thingy is no issue at all, no ramps to negotiate. this is best option for low clearance cars, however in my experience its normally more expensive than the ferry.
ferrys are ok too, but sometimes you do have a steep ramp coming on or off- normally the chaps supervising loading and unloading are very helpful and will adjust the angle of the ramp or place planks or similar to help out. My v8 (lowered about 15mm from stock) would often 'touch' but i've never had any damage - the lower lip is rubber and can take quite a bit of abuse without damage. as with all steep ramps, just take it slow, and drive up at an angle and you should be fine.
