Calvin tells me that he is doing his pretty soon. because it's bonded on, he is making a tool for this. Using a piece of wood and a guitar string pulled taught. Slid this tool down the sides of the glass. Clean the glass and refix with silicone or similar.
Calvin may be able to send you a diagram of his tools

Yes you have to drill the rivets and try to remove the black plastic trim without breaking it. On my car it was broken and none was in stock (left side) by Lotus. I order it from sjsportscars and get it quickly. It was then bonded and riveted in place.
Hope this helps

Yes, you have to drill out the rivets on the front leading edge plastic trim of the rear quarter window (I think there are 3 rivets). You can see the rivet heads with the door open. You have to fashion a tool out of some really strong wire like a high note guitar string. Wrap ends of it around a couple of pieces of wood to resemble a strangling garrot like the commandos use or what one sees in a spy movie. Slip the wire between window and car body and saw your way through the seal. Then use the Beta seal kit to re-prime and seal the window. Might be helpful to have a friend to hold the glass while you are doing this so you do not drop and break the glass as you saw through the seal. It's too cold for me to do this now, so I will do this in the spring. Does not seem hard and I have seen this done before.

I figured maybe there were screws on the other side of the rivets...My plastic piece is cracked on both dises. I wonder if the part is still around....and how you can put new ones on without rivets?

When I replace rivits and they are non loading. I use tinnerman clips or plastic plugs that can hold the proper size sheet metal screw.
