You can have it rebuilt anywhere that does a good jos. Or, you can go to NAPA or Autozone, ect and get a new alternator. You will have a hell of a time trying to find a Valeo...and if you do it will be $600. The Bosch AL49x will work, or the ACDelco that is just like it. The Delco is $150 without the core charge. If you do that, let me know.

I had my alternator on my '89 non-SE rebuilt for $135 by a good auto electric service shop after my voltage regulator melted and gummed up the brushes. The voltage regulator, I have burned up three, cost about $35 and can be got from a place called Transpo a VR Motorola model M5-763.

You did not say what parts you need. Hope this helps.

When mine went out I had mine rebuilt locally for $40 USD. Check out a good local auto electric shop.

Lotusman, do you have a telephone or address for transpo. It turns out that the regulator is the only part I need. Brushes and bearings are in fine shape. The last quote I was given was $165. Thanks for the replys.
