Well, it was out of action for a year but yesterday my Esprit fired up for the first time post-rebuild!



Just for a few seconds mind, because I haven't put the exhaust back on yet, but the main thing is that it runs!

Dunno why I'm so bloody cheerful, next it'll be an MOT and then it's up for sale..s

There's nothing quite like the excitement of a first fire up after a rebuild!! Congrats!!!!!

I had a look at your website, there's no pictures of the interior etc? Congrats on your start up though, good luck with the rest of the project.

Interior is about par for the course for a 23-year-old Esprit that's had a dozen owners
Externally the paint needs at least a bloody good clean and polish if not a respray, I haven't washed it for almost a year...

STOP PRESS! Unconfirmed sightings of my car on a private test track suggest that everything works as it should... and bizarrely, the gearchange is the best I've ever known it. I made new bushes for the linkages but I really didn't think the old ones were THAT bad, it was just an excuse to use the lathe
I suppose I ought to put the airbox and bellmouths back in, even though the induction noise is

Rear brake balance was within 1Kg!!
