Hi,

I suspect that it runs ok, I suspect that the ram air has little or no effect until the car is at extremly high speed. True Ram Air creates an advantage because it directs pressurized air directly into the carburettor or air/fuel meter. In a turbo application, increasing the pressure too much at the turbo inlet may actually hinder the the performance of the turbine. Realize that the Esprit already has 'Ram Air' of sorts as the turbo air intake is the scoop in the LH side of the vehicle. I think it's main purpose is to increase the agressive look of the car and create more WOW. Happy Motoring! Jim'85TE
