V8 Boost gauge

I heard the v8 was supposed to boost to 10 psi,mine only goes just under halfway round the dial which is about 7psi, is this normal?

Ignore your dial. I've had some problems with mine, well quite the opposite, too much boost! Well it turns out that the gauges aren't entirely accurate. They work from electric signals which have been converted from air pressure? so it doesn't truely represent the correct boost gauge. If your car performs well and doesn't cut out or splutter, there shouldn't be any major issues. You should take it to a dealer the next time you get it serviced and they will hook up a calibrated pressure gauge and confirm the correct reading. Iam a novice at all of this, this is only what my Lotus engineer has told me. I may need some back up here by the more experienced guys.
