Hi, In the middle of changing the timming belts (new belts and tensioners}but in need of a second opinion. The tensioners on my engine are self adjusting and the new tensioners are not. I have been informed that the self-adjust have been binned and no longer exist. Also the tension has been increased from 95-120 to 120-135. Could someone advise me this is the correct procedure to follow?

I am impressed by the responce when something technical and of great importance to other esprit owners is posted on this forum. Even some independant LOTUS specialists gave the wrong information. Thought this forum was to help and pass on information to others, shame. Anyway recieved the correct information

So how about posting the correct answer....

FWIW, this forum has the least traffic of the Esprit forums and the majority of the most knowledgeable owners rarely post here, particularly regarding the V8. You'd be better served by posting your more complicated tech questions to the LEF or Yahoo list groups.

Cheers

Thanks jk1, I have found that out myself. The revised correct tension is 120 hz-135hz for new belts. Hope this is of interest to other owners.
