Another question on the colour of wheels

[83 turbo]

I have an 83 turbo, Copper/bronze metallic with gold stripes and lettering. I am just about to have the wheels refurbished (took them off today)can't make up my mind what colour to have them, please help me make a decision. presently bare alloy rim with gold centres. Should I have the wheels all gold like some of the older style alloys?, silver (painted) rim with gold centres?, refurbisher says he can polish rim and have gold centres?

Refurbisher got my vote. Silver painted centres would also compliment the colour of your car. Be a shame to paint over bare alloy when you can make them sparkly

Refurbisher sounds good to me too. Hmmmm bronze, eh? Can you post a piccie? Sounds like you have what may look an awful lot like the Bond Car from FYEO (the one that, ahem, managed to stay in one piece )

Gold all over would be too much, in my humble opinion.

Where are you going to get them done?

Let us know how you get on, as I would like to do this job too.

My Esprit is white with silver wheels. Any views on gold centres and polished rims, or should I stay silver?

Pat the refurbishers I am going to use are called pro clean based in Prescot just north of Liverpool, their website is www.procleanalloys.co.uk, there is another firm which has franchises all over the U.K. called Pristine Wheels. If anyone wants to see pics of my car you will find it on the Lotus Esprit World website on the owners page. Thanks everyone for their input regarding the colour, taking them to the refurbishers this weekend, pick them up a week later. I'll post a picture of the pre/post refurbished wheels.
