There are some very brave people on the TurboEsprit list in the US that have done various and assorted things with Esprits. One of them is even building a single Esprit out of several "donors".
However, when this was mentioned as a question on the list, they all responded with "don't even try it..." (the dashboard part that is)

The centeral tunnel is different on later model cars (thinner to give more interior room).
Plus the heater A/C controls are electric.
Big hassle in doing this.
Body mods are easier to do, but still spendy. Consider it if you have a had a shunt in the area. But it is still a lot of work and spendy. Save the money and buy a newer one. You will be much happier.
