In my S4s I am getting this noise coming from behind the drivers head (RHD car) everytime the body flexes, as in when it goes up a driveway, etc.

From what I read here, it seems to be the bulk head bolts that need to be tightened.
Where are these?

Thanks.

Ande,

Your bulkhead bolts are located along the bottom edge of the bulkhead approx. 10-12" in from the side of the car. The head of the bolt 'lives' under the carpet while the 'nylock' nut extends through a mounting bracket on the traverse beam of the subframe. You can usually peel back the carpet to put a combo wrench on it, then you can access the nut from the underside of the car with a socket and handle. I know some Esprit owners who have had difficulty in peeling the carpet back as it is glued and simply made a slit in the carpet to access the bolt head. Happy Motoring! Jim '85TE
