I have just had an idea for a DVD ROM game that is really well suited to the type of retent who drives a car like ours. I was looking at a picture of a 4 cylinder chargecooled engine with the boot floor out when I realised that the right hand driveshaft was missing. It struck me that this would make quite an amusing game. If you were to prepare several photographic situations with bits missing or with anachronisms such as my car which has '98 wheels on a '97 car. Hours of fun !! Or am I just really sad ??
Sorry,...In a really good mood as just found out how to make DTS encoded CDs of my own stuff for only $99 !! Can't wait to record the next masterpiece in glorious 5.1 surround sound ! Anyhow, anybody think the game would work ? Perhaps it could be expanded to all makes of car. For instance, would you recognise a Ford Fiesta with Megane tail lights ?
A couple of years ago, we bought our daughter Sarah, (who HATES my car!) a universal Monopoly game. If you haven't seen it, basically it is a regular Monopoly game but you get to name all the steets etc. Surely if we tried hard enough, we could do something similar and make a game of our own with which to while away the winter nights leading up to Christmas whilst the car is down at the mender's having this Winter's catastrophe fitted! Any ideas ??

i can't stand monopoly, but the family plays it every christmas holiday. it was bought before i was born, and all of the original lead pieces are missing. we've taken to using whatever household objects are closeby. last year i was a hobnob, but i got eaten by mistake. were you to make little lead cars for gameplay, i'd buy a set.

OK, what's wrong on this page scanned from Esprit - The Complete Story (1991)?

errr - is it that the engine appears to be the wrong way round ? On the S3/Turbo Esprit, (in fact all 4-pots), the cam covers should be on the left hand side of the car - the photogrpah makes it appear they're on the right hand side

This picture has annoyed me for years, just like the free poster with Dark Side of the Moon. I don't understand how something as obvious as guitarists suddenly becoming left handed gets past the proof stage. Likewise, you don't have to be a Lotus anorak to see that the writing on the tyres is back to front in this picture !
