Rear wing removal

Hi all,
Just looking at the classifieds - some tempting V8s. However, they pretty much all seem to have the rear spoiler. If I remember rightly, it was an option on the V8GT and therefore has negligible (if any) aerodynamic effect.
Can the spoilers just be taken off, and have people done this?
Each to their own etc, but I don't want a spoilered car, and there's precious little choice as is, without whittling the field down to original non-spoilered cars.

3mins to take it off LOL, 4 bolts under the boot basically.
it has a effect over 150mph i belive, when it plants you into the
tarmac. other than that just for looks really. i suggest if you wanna
remove it, get some body coloured gromets and push them in the holes
so when/if ya sell it you can offer a car with/without wing.
