My driver side window won't close all the way. It comes to an abrupt stop at about 3 inches from going fully closed. And it won't budge even if I try to help it along by tugging upward on it. This just started out of the blue on my lunch break today. What might be the cause?

The rails might have come looose they are held on the door beam by hex set screws. If the rails shift the window will bind. Also the bottom of the window rails are supposed to be supported by small foam rubber pads stuck on the bottom of the door interior. These pads dry out or disintergrate and that leads to bottom movement/vibration of the rails which many times loosen the rail set screws on the beam.

The motor also gets weak or the switch get carboned up. Lube the motor worm drive as we have discussed in the past on this forum from the worm drive set screw access.
