Can anyone reference a good source, (U.S. or U.K.) for exhaust manifolds for U>S. spec turbo esprits, 89-93, non charge-cooled?
I am in the process of doing engine-out work and need to find a replacement unit a.s.a.p. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Please email me direct.
Thanks.

Hi,

You can get one from JAE, SJSportscars, LCU, or get one of the new stainless steel headers from Moto-Concepts in Germany. Also, you can easily have the old one re-welded by any competent welding shop. Hope this helps...Jim '85TE

Hello, the best thing i can say to you is to wait a little bit.
The cast iron exhaust manifold you can buy now are in a very bad quality. And the stainless steel manifold of moto concept you can`t buy. They are testing that piece for the whole next season.
The problem of the manifold is the temperature in the phase of heating up and cooling down.
I´m waiting for another alternative.Maybe a company produce an cast manifold in a better quality and for an acceptable price. The mixture of the cast iron is very low quality.
I you like to weld your old manifold your happiness won`t last long.It cracks again!
THX

To the gents who have replied to my posting, thanks for the inputs. After hours of phone calling, emailing, and web searching, I have purchased a 93 manifold from JAE in California. the manifold will be shipped to HPC for a jet coat application. The gentlemen at JAE and HPC, (Jeff and Corey respectively), were both very corteous and informative.
It seems that the coating application will greatly reduce the heat generated into the engine bay and add a little horsepower along the way. Several sources have concurred on this approach so now we'll have to see if the proof is truly in the tasting. For those in a similar situation, untill a set of headers are available, this may be a suitable and possibly less expensive solution to the manifold woes.
