How easy is it to fit a new carpet set?

Iam in the process of renovating the interior of my 1990 Turbo. I haven't really any mechanical experience buy Iam a bit handy. I have stripped out the seats and centre console to re-dye them but didn't check first how the carpet was fixed! It's all glued in and a pain to get out. I have just purchased a carpet set from www.sjsportscars.co.uk and it's coming tommorrow. I plan to attempt to fit the new carpet at the weekend. Does anyone out there have any tips to make life easier? Which bits are best to fit first? I was planning to glue in the bits you can't see to get some practice.
