ALTERNATE (NON LOTUS/GENUINE) ESPRIT S3 PARTS ??

Is there a listing for Esprit spare parts i.e
The fuel pump ... i have been told they come from a Austin Metro ,in that if i want a new one,rather than getting a new one from a Lotus dealer ...with their added cost.... a simple Leyland part that is the same would serve the same purpose at a very much reduced price.
Any other engine parts that are the same i would be very grateful for .... i am in UK at the moment and hope to export my 87 S3 back to Australia in the next few months
