from a member here.

"Bo tends to be very emotional and not listen much to logic or facts, especially when PC things come up where he has been programmed to regurgitate the party line"

I take extreme offence to being bad mouthed by a complete stranger that does not know me and has never met me. I think that I have given my best effort to support many things on this board.

I make an effort to be entertaining and factual in my posts. I am a very successful Mechanical engineer and I am specifically paid to use logic and facts to solve problems. I have posted over and over again about making intelligent decisions and trying to look at things from both sides.

I suggest anyone that has not read "State of Fear" should do so. It will help us all see more of both sides of environmental issues.

I have not been programmed to tow any party line,,, I really wish this poster would dare to call me or speak to me before labeling me. I am as far from an environmentalist as you can imagine. I am also not know for being PC at all.

I know when to use PCness to manage work situations but this is not appropriate in a car message board.

I am adamant that I use logic and good sense when I post here. I make mistakes - certainly, but I will not be pained by a stranger as anything but a positive contributor here.

I also will continue to correct blatant grammar mistakes when I think that they detract from the post. This is not a personal attack on the poster. 90% of the US and other english speaking countries don’t know what used to be grade school grammar. It is especially not good when a university educated person cant get past elementary english in their mother tongue. I think that ( without any technical support ) the fall of english quality had matched the fall of the US economy and we all need to fix that problem.
I am not an expert in any way on english but I can get "Me and I", "good and well" and I add an ly on most adverbs. I also don’t put an s on the end of the word anyway. It is not a contest to see who can nit-pick typos.. but these 4 things will make most people seem about twice their intelligence.

I don’t want this to be a long post - I am just defending my position. And I look forward to serving and learning from the entire community here.

Please bite your tongue on the issues and resist replying.

Bo,

I certainly agree with your right to believe what you will and to profess those beliefs when the opportunity arises. I also agreee with my right and anyone else's to disagree with you.

There is one thing that rubs me wrong though. Just as poor grammar is one of your pet-peeves, poor spelling is one of mine. But given that, I don't make it my mission in life to correct the errors in other's posts as it generally comes across as demeaning and projecting a superior attitude. But since I mentioned it, you have no less than 10 spelling and capitalization errors in your previous post. When you were taking all those college grammar courses did they not throw in the spelling too or was that extra? Take that for what it's worth which ain't much...

Cheers,
Jim

How do you make it on such a low hourly rate?

Surprised I didn't see your name on the USPTO registry.

Me? I would be slightly miffed if anything...

I might have come back with a witty retort or corrected any duff claims, if I could be bothered.

Don't get so worked up about it, take it in your stride or you'll be a heart attack waiting to happen.

:-)
