Lotus V8, with Toyota V-V-T heads ?

Would it be possiable for Lotus to modify their
V8 to use Toyota V-V-T head designs ?

I have heard of people who have installed the actual Toyota/Lexus V-8 into the Lotus. Apparently it is not as difficult as you would think.

Can't remember where i read it, but i'm sure this was part of the development for the Lotus v8. In fact, there were several elements for this engine that were developed, including intercooling and variable valve timing but were never used on the production engine for the esprit. Reason is, with 350bhp to push around a relatively light car (and with a limitation on torque due to the gearbox) there simply wasn't a need for more power..

The V-V-T heads hopefully would allow the 3.5L to pass
US past the 2004 year, this way the engine could be used in the Esprit's replacement.
