i can't comment on how annoying it is, because i couldn't bear more than 10 minutes of it. perhaps it gets better further along. i'll accept never finding out. most motor documentaries are fascinating, because they focus on the car. the esprit one seemed to focus on the fans. i've never been a fan of anything. fans blow.

Just in case anyone is interested it’s called ‘High Rising Terminal’ or 'Australian Questioning Intonation'.

No much to do with the Esprit, but if you find it annoying then you should know your linguistic enemy.

Come on chill out, this is 'Esprit a celebration'documentary? its just about the owners & their love of the cars, people cant help their accents, it was made on a tight budget, read Katos bit in LEW....

i havnt bought it if im honest but its not because of their voices, infact you'll see most of the 'stars' at Donington next week or the next Oxford meet. Enjoy it for the cars guys!

oh dear,,,,,do i have to start to upset ppl AGAIN!!

when your not ready for a interview of any kind and asked just to bring your car, its all very daunting, well i wasnt ready anyway and i hide behind the sofa everytime its on, as i hadnt owned mine very long, and it looks very very different now.

so keep slating the programme, as you all can do better with no prior notice of whats going on.

Karl is right! The thing was done on a very low budget and the owners are not and dont claim to be professionals. We answered the questions we had been asked and I think we ll had a great time doing it. It is not the most professionaly produced show in history but seems to me it tells you a bit about Esprits and the people who like them, why they ow the models they do and what attracted them to the car. Also tells you a bit about each model. Of course it is not perfect but it does pretty much what it says on the box!

the producers would have made more money if they'd just showed up at my garage and filmed me changing the timing belt. in the sequel of course, i'd be replaced by some bimbo with surgically enhanced breasts.

AQI drives me up the wall !! If someone starts doing it when they are talking to me I tell them to stop. Or start saying thing like "Is it ? I don't know ! You tell me" when they 'ask you a question' instead of 'telling you something'. Don't get me started....

Oh yes, and "to be honest with you". Do you mean that everything else you said has been a lie ? Are you not capable of telling me something without laying then ? Why do people say it ?
