Is that the best you can do ?

Right, it's a strip of matt black material with double sided tape on the back. I have attached it to the shiny black thing immediately behind the screen vent in the instrument binnacle ('97 or earlier) This now means that I can drive in low angle sunlight without that annoying horizontal white reflection right in the middle of the view ahead which gives the landscape the appearance of attending a 70's fancy dress party disguised as Adam Ant. Surprised no-one has done this before. Would have been easy enough for Lotus to have covered the original item in black alcantara. Has anyone tried this before ?

Had a proper chance to use the car in low angle sun and can report that the difference is quite enormous, aspecially considering the minimum of design, fitting time and raw materials reqired ! It is amazing to drive the car in bright sunlight without a big white stripe across the windscreen !!
