My V8 rear panel chrome badge has become all bubbled and looks like chromium looks when it has lifted off the base metal. I have taken advantage of the factory sale and ordered a new on for a fiver. Does anyone know how to remove and re-fit this item ?? Thanks in advance

It's sticky backed, so just warm it gently with a hairdryer/ hot air gun and it should pull off. - Be careful the black plastic of the number plate surround is thin and easily damaged.

Thank you, that's a major help ! I think we should always publish things like this every time we find out how to do something the long way, it means that the rest of us get to do it the easy way. Like, for example, it was only after seeing a heater control knob mechanism out of the dash that I realised how you get the knobs off (pre - '98) I spent ages trying to unscrew a non existent grub screw when the correct procedure is to press down on the thing down the hole ( the "thing" is a spring loaded metal stud in the shaft of the axle of the mechanism) so easy when you know how !
