The correct washer tank for left side mount and pump assembly is:
CO79M601OF
Attached to a slide on mounting bracket pop riveted to the body with a backing washer:
AO75M6069Z
All number are Lotus parts numbers

Mine washer bottle was split when I bought my car in August (1987 TurboHC)

I was quoted over £50 for a new one from a Lotus specialist, so I welded the split with a soldering gun.

Presumably this part was not manufactured especially for Lotus.

It was probably pinched from a Morris Marina or similar. Does anyone know if there is a cheaper source for this part?

There is a company here in the U.K. that supplies Vehicle wiring products, in their catalogue(page 31) they show a washer bottle and pump including the metal bracket that the bottle slides on to, similar to that fitted to my 83 esprit Turbo all for £11, (approx 15 U.S. Dollars, they also have one with the mounting lugs moulded on to the bottle. The catalogue says they also export, email them at: sales@vehicle products.co.uk

Hope this helps, Jez.

Many thanks for your help. Yip our lotus dealer here in NZ quotes Lotus prices, pretty expensive, they don't actually have one in stock that fits, he said a bladder bag can be used as a quick alternative. mmm sounds a bit manky to me. Must be another manufacturer with a similar part.
