hi there im looking for some advice on running costs of a elan... and what are the major fauts etc....

owned a elan for 4 years, what do you want to know:-

exmaple:-

m100 h reg
fuel around very high 20's (if i remember)
chip is £100 fitted (get this as it transform the car)
they dont go wrong really as there jap
i would love another as a run around
brake pads dirt cheap, from vauxhall nove i think (cant remember)
oil filter about £5
fully upgraded suspesion £200 at the time i think

mine was healily modded so i had most things, but they
are fantastic car, i recomend them all day long, and with a
bleed valve or chip you can sit next to a scooby or evo all
the way to 150mph (at this point the wipers get a bit bouncy
on the windscreen LOL)
