A former SE owner who has resently purchased a V8 wants to know about programs for the V8 OBDII that is similar to Freescan to run on his laptop. You dutch people on the forum can you read this text and tell me what this fellow is doing with his laptop PC?

The article mentions it has a programmable MoTEC ECU, not the Lotus one.

Calvin - there are tools available for the V8, but unfortunately, not free.

The software from www.obd-2.com (Alex Peper) works fine on my Elise S2 which has the full E-OBD interface.
I assume the V8-Esprit is real OBD-2, so it should be no problem there at all.
As it's an european car it probably uses the ISO-9194 interface of the OBD-2 standard.
