Last question about exhaust manifold

What do i have to do if i coudn`t remove the exhaust manifold?Remove the whole engine or remove the cylinder head?

Hey,

Why coudn't you get your manifold off? You usually can get it if you are persistent. You may need a variety of tools such as open end wrenches, needle nosed vice grips. You may even require some penetrating oil to loosen some stubborn nuts, but the job is doable.

Removing the head or engine brings with it another set of problems and expense, but many do go this route. Before deciding, check out this owner's site. He has detailed instructions how to remove the menifold with the engine in the car. Good Luck... Jim '85TE
