Hello everyone. finally narrowed down the search to a 2001 esprit . its blue with 2002 tailights, exhaust, wheels and johans chip.

Have some ?'s

1- front wheels rub on sharp turns. they are new. 235's I think is this normal?
2- front spoiler loose. owner says this is a recurring problem, any solutions for this ?d what is usual cause of this. could wheels be related to this problem or is it usually from the low clearance aspect?

Thanks for your reply's

1- 235/40-17 is standard size. They should not rub unless someone has changed the suspension or you have sagging springs.

2- Only a recurring problem is you keep hitting concrete parking blocks and/or steep angled driveways. Solution, learn where the front end is. You should probably replace the plastic fasteners that hold the air splitter in place. Beyond that, check your clearance from the lip to ground... should be over 4 inches.

The other reason they could be rubbing is aftermarket wheels with the wrong offset or too big in diameter. What's the actual size of the tires?

Mine used to rub on tight right hand turns only. The adjustment of my rack wasnt central, I just had to wind one ball joint in a bit and the other out a bit.

It may just be this.

For number 1...

Another reason for rubbing tyres/tires are bad dampers/shocks. I would have them checked out...

Thanks for the input guys. I will have my mechanical inspector check it out. I thought it might be a shock or suspension issue, I will keep you updated.
Merry XMAS!
