After an extended stay in "car hospital" my 89SE is back home.

Had new exhaust manifold, tank refurb, new "everything" on the engine (belts water pump.....) de-cat pipe, and "C" service.

Previous posts of code 26 and 34 problems cured by correcting a vacuum hose connected to the wrong sensor.

Pity its not the best of weather to enjoy it but great to drive her again.

Only shakedown problems so far are an idle which isn't great, some times too high when warm, but it may improve after "learning" a bit more.

Will use my freescan to log a file for records.

Only one thing to do now and that is to get the aircon recharged in the spring. Wish I could get R12........Mentalists in the UK won't allow us to use it !!Except big industrial units which contain zillions more Kgs than my little Lotus Doh!

Scotty,

Congrats on the return to home. Always a good thing to hear of another 89 being brought back to good health. Happy holidays and may warm days and clear roads be in your near future.

hey Scotty... I have 2 cans of R12. We are not to use it states side either. Apparently the EPA decided that R12 is worse than Mt St.Helens... Anyway, like you guys we can put in anything not "industrial"...

Anyway, I converted to 134 and have 2 cans of R12 left if you want them. Not sure I can send e'm in a box to the UK... but if I can they are yours. Let me know.
