Has anyone tried a Kevlar/Carbon Fiber Clutch on an Esprit? Where have many of you purchased your clutches at and how much is the clutch kit?

I just got through having a clutch, pressure plate, pilot and release bearing(throw out bearing). I bought al new parts through JAE and was fairly inexpensive under $400.00 total. The intallation labor time was the really costly thing at 17 hours times 70 an hour!

'88,

Hi, I replaced the clutch, throwout, pilot bearing and pressure plate in my '85 this past summer. I got the kevlar AP clutch disc through Steve Roberts @ SJSportscars in the UK.

It took me less than 1 hour to install as I already had the engine/tranny our for rebuild. Pretty easy to do if you have a mechanical ability. You could actually do it while leaving the engine in the car - very doable. Plan on having the Flywheel turned at the same time and maybe replace the rear crank seal if it's leaking.
