New Esprit - trick suspension?
Discussion
Long piece in this weeks Autocar about the future of the car, including a brief review of interesting cars coming up in the next few years. New Esprit gets a mention, usual stuff but also mentions 'revolutionary new suspension'.
Any ideas anyone? Have they finally stuck active suspension in after previewing it 20 years ago?

Huge Rotors mounted to the Wheel instead of the Hub and Spindle, I would bet....
I heard that they would be capable of Breaking So Hard, that your Eyes would go Blood Shot!

You've got to remember that the stopping power of any brake system is limited by the adhesion of your tires to the road ;-)
OK, this may be a case of 2 plus 2 equals 5, but here goes.
The high end audio manufacturer Bose has been discussing its development of a semi active suspension system based on electro-magnetic motors in various media recently. Interestingly the system was discussed in some detail on Lotus' own Engineering Newsletter, 'proActive' back in February - see www.just-auto.com/proactive/pdf/lotus-newsletter- page 16.
So, will the new Esprit, with its "revolutionary new suspension" as revealed by Autocar last week, use the Bose suspension? I think we should be told!
