Hey Guys,

I had a question about the offset of the wheels that can be put on an Esprit. I know our bolt pattern is the odd 5 X 108. I have found that most new volvos have the same bolt pattern. The offset of those rims is:
Offset 35MM-F, 35MM-R.

Would a rim with that offset fit the Esprit?
If the rims were to fit, would they be sticking out of the wheel well? Last one, What is the offset of the Lotus Esprit V8 Wheels.

Thanks so much for your help here.

Info is on esprit fact file:
Front Inset: +19.0
Rear Inset: +17.0

New mondeo is also 5x108. I tried the spare off my 05 ST on the esprit. Won't fit front or rear as the offset is wrong - it clashes with the caliper in both cases.

Thanks for the reply.
I guess this is where I get confused. You said
Info is on esprit fact file:
Front Inset: +19.0
Rear Inset: +17.0

What is an inset? Is that the same thing as the offset?

Thanks for that repsonse!

I think I got it now. So, if I were to put the wheels with a 35 mm offset on the car it seems that would work and the rims would be really deep dish rims on there. I am correct on that? Or is the 35mm offset not going to be the really deep dish rim?

negative offset gives the deep dish look.
35mm positive offset is going to put the wheel
closer to the inside of the wheel well and may
rub.
it will also put the calipers closer to the spokes
and may interfere.
however, u could use a spacer to get the offset right
35mm-spacer=19mm and so on
