85 esprit turbo fuel pump, puller or pusher?

i am just wanting to know if my fuel pump is a puller or a pusher? as i have just reconditioned my fuel tanks and want to fit a filter before the pump, and can only do this if the fuel pump is a puller (as in it draws fuel from the tank).
