My head lamps rise and close well but feel they have too much movement (vibrate) when traveling, looking at them when parked, one lamp has more free movement (aprox 10mm on the top of the lamp) then the other. Is there any adjustments I can do or has it to go into the shop.

What country and location do you live in?
The parts are from a GM Fiero and are very cheap.
It will make you lights as good as new.

The movement of the lamps is the result of the slop between the nylon gear and the pinion gear of the motor. I would be very careful about checking that freeplay of the pod. the nylon gear is not all that substantial. You would need a replacemnt assembly if you broke a tooth$$$. I have repaired both my pods because of the plastic clutches crumbling between the metal axle and nylon gear.

Frankly, I don't mind the bouncing. With a car this hard to see, I want people to know I am coming up on them. Some have slowed down seeing the apparent flashing lights, thinking I was a cop.

Caz,
Where the pod mounts to the rod is a bracket which is held by four bolts. Disconnect the arm from the motor, and raise the pod by hand higher than it would go connected. You will see the bracket and bolts. How do I know this??? One guess! All of the nuts loosened up and the bracket became disconnected from the pod.To get to the head of the bolt, pull out one of the headlamps.
It most likely could be these bolts are loose causing the pod to bounce, but before removing the arm from the motor, make sure the nut is tight first, mine tends to loosen up so I have to keep an eye on it, however I would strongly suggest checking the mounting bracket to the pod to be safe.
