It might the icing indicator. Mine is on the binnacle. There a 2 LED's Green should come on at start up then go off. If green and red light up caution for ice conditions at 0-2+C. Red air temps are below 0 C and roads are icy. Just so you don't go around a corner and spin out.

hi alotuspd,

if it's in the centre console next to the fuel flap release buttons, then it is the "obstruction sensing override button" (page a13 of the owner's handbook)... there is a saftey mechanism that if an obstruction is sensed (increased resistence) during the last 3rd of the window travel, the window motor stops automatically and reverses window glass moevement for a moment... basically stops the window from winding up if say, a child's hand got caught in it... good idea... unfortunately, if you live in a cold climate and the window gets cold enough, it can be stiffer to wind up... to overcome this, you press the snowflake button (obstruction override button) and the window button at the same time to override this...

hope this helps...

rgds,

anthony

ps. i live in australia, so have never had to use it as such, and dont know if it actually works as it says in the manual....also, the manual states that this switch is only on non-usa cars, don't know if this is true also...
