Where is the fuse panel on a 86 esprit if any?

I just purchased my first Lotus and I don't know if it has a fuse panel. I have some electrical problems and would like to start there.

Ask Swedish Surgeon as he has a 87 which is identical to an 86. He is a professional Mechanic.

Check inside the glovebox, on the left wall (toward the driver side). You'll see two plastic covers, remove those and you'll find the fuses.

I checked there and did not find any covers. Any other suggestions would be helpful.

I don'y know if your car is the same or not. Under the bonnet near the brake master is a black box where the relays are in there are fuses atleast in newer cars.

'86 Esprit,
Your fuse box is located to the left and down of the steering wheel on the dash, not the instrument binnacle. You will see a leather covered panel. Slightly squeezing and pulling it simultaneously will allow it to be removed. Hope this helps...Jim '85TE
