Question about Re-flashing the ECU

I have a 1999 V8, is it possible to send my ECU in Lotus Atlanta (USA) and re-flash the ECU using the hi-torque configuration?
Anyone have done this?
How much it cost?
What do I gain & Is it worth?

marcus at puk can probably do it but im personally worried about people upgrading v8's as ive heard nasty stories. but hey i suppose you get that with everything..

Why would I send to Marcus?
I like to send to Lotus USA in atlanta.

I did this earlier in the year... I hand carried it (ECM) to Symbolic Motors in California as I was travelling on business... also got a nice tour of their facility and some Lotus goodies. They in turn sent it to Dave Simkin (also in California) who flashed the ECM to the High-Torque code and returned to Symbolic who then returned to me. The cost was $400 USD and the difference is worth it.

I think LCU will tell you to go thru a dealer most likely... I also recently heard that Dave Simkin is no longer reflashing the ECMs but they are handled differently now, so you should check with a dealer and/or LCU first.
