Se request below from Ltus Club International......

We at Lotus Club International urgently require a Giugiaro shaped Lotus
Esprit Turbo, ideally an S3 for a feature in EVO magazine on the way
cars of
different manufacturers have evolved over the last 20 years. The Esprit
will
go head to head with the Lotus Sport Exige 240R launched this year, and
the
car will need to be driven on the road and track by one of our renowned
Lotus Vehicle Dynamics engineers and the journalist. It is important to
note
that the car will not be driven at full speed, and care will be taken
throughout the road and track test.

The Esprit is required between 14:00 and 16:00 at Hethel on Thursday
15/09/05. A response is needed by 12:00 GMT on 13/09/05. If you can
help,
please contact Simon Wittenberg at swittenberg@lotuscars.co.uk or on
+44
(0)1953 608233.

I hope you can help us out with this urgent request.

Kind Regards,
Mike Smallwood

Let's start a sweepstake on how many fundamental factual mistakes EVO make in the published article.

And if my experience of lending a car to EVO is anything to go by then it'll be a totally anti-climactic day for the owner as well as a derisory pi55take financial offer to cover time / use of car / petrol etc. A great read, but sadly can't recommend the experience of car lending.....

Damn right. They had a Sport 350 article a few months ago and it was total cobblers. Comments like "no ABS" and "charge cooler pump failure" where not very good.

Yes, they had a 350 to take the pictures and drive it - then they got a shed load of facts about the car wrong. Several owners contacted the magazine about just how piss poor it was and a couple of months later they printed a list of corrections.

Here's the article with the errors highlighted and the subsequent apology : www.lotusespritworld.com/ERoadtests/Evo_Dec04.html
