Battery Question

Just replaced the battery in my Esprit, but I did not buy it from the dealer. I bought it from NTB and it's an Exide. My question is that it's larger than the one I replaced, about 1 to 2 inches taller and the same difference in legnth. Also it's heavier, I would say at least four or five pounds more. Would this weight difference affect the way the car handles or performs. On a side note it (the new one) did fit alright, only a slight adjustment to battery bracket was needed.

Battery Problem solved! I just found a smaller battery, and that was it Whola! Can you inmagine that. I just wanted to say thanks for all the many many people who responded to my question. This forum rocks!
