Hi there
The old esprit has developed a few electrical problems,no you say, when the lights are switched on the all the instrument indications drop, fuel, water temp etc.
The ecm does not put the radiator fans onm,i have had to introduce a manual switch.
The engine will only stop after the key is switched off when the handbrake is selected on (to put the brake light on)it does not happen all of the time.
The car is a 1994 sport 300 (revised harness)
Any pointers or tips please
Simon

It sounds suspiciously like a bad ground to me.

I have continued with fault isolation and have just about nailed the engine failing to stop. I have a residule voltage of 2.6 volts at the ignition relay 2 keeping it energised (even with battery disconnected).
The source of these volts is the little wire that comes from the alternator, with this disconected it starts and stops every time, is it the alternator at fault?
