carbs are balanced and CO is correct,

however under light acceleration the engine misses especially when coming to an incline if you put the foot down there is a complete miss untill the turbo cuts in and as the boost pressure builds. The miss becomes less and less, under hard acceleration with the turbo full on every thing is fine... Any ideas???

Sort of sounds like a clogged up low or intermediate speed circuit in one carbie. I would take it out and rebuild it.

Hi,

I had a nasty stumble on my carb turbo and it turned out to be the pickups in the distributor. It was rebuilt and now runs like a dream.

Cheers

Yep... same problem a few months ago on my car (88' HCI injection). Traced this to the distributor pick up. Replaced the coil pick up in the distributor and the ignition amplifier (as it was no longer needed) with a neat little black box from Pertronix. Came from JAE for 70ish USD. This thing just screwed into place where the coil pick up plate was - no mods to fit. The star wheel in the distributor also gets replaced with the Pertronix wheel. Problem solved.

Quik test... pull your distributor cap and unhook the lines running from the pick up coil to the ignition amplifier. Then, with an ohm meter test the resistance in the coil. It should be 2-3 ohms. If not... there is your problem...

Drive topless!!!
