Advice on change spark plugs on 99 V8
Discussion
Get a decent spark plug tool would be the best advice I can offer. They are VERY deep in, you'll find attempting to use socket extensions very difficult as the air filter box tends to get in the way. Make sure the tool fits on nice, loosen the plug slightly then tighten it again just to ensure that you are properly on it, where they're so deep and tight it's way to easy to think you are on the plug but not actually be, all you'll end up doing is turning off bits of aluminim swarf into the plug well.
I'd sugest a compressor also to blow the wells out before you actually remove the plugs to ensure there's no crap in there to drop in.
Other than that it's all pretty straight forward

Hmm, they are a bit of a fiddle but nothing too bad. Make sure you peel the seal back properly, they got a little 'pully' bit that you're meant to pull them from, do your best to pull them from these rather than the lead itself to save damaging the lead - though some of the tighter ones can be a bit of a pain.
When putting the leads back on make sure you push them down firmly until the go 'click'.

Thanks again for this and the torque setting. Got to them and got them out beautifully after I removed the air filter covers. Used the old rubber tube trick over the plugs to reinsert and gently thread them back in...no problems. Do you recommend any lube on the inside of the boots? Also, noticed a debate on whether to use anti-seize compound or not on the threads...any opinion?
